"Casey DeVonne Collins is a
22-year-old drafter who spends
as much time performing as
possible--from local theater to
church choir and bell choir to
random bursts of song that
frequently amuse (and sometimes
annoy) her friends and family.
She has lived in New Iberia for
ten years and is truly grateful to
many of her former teachers,
including Ray Blum, for
encouraging her creativity and
helping to refine her acting,
writing, and music skills.
Casey spent two years in
Pineville at Louisiana College,
where she was active in theater
classes and productions, as well
as church performances. She
has recently been involved with
the Iberia Performing Arts League
(IPAL), playing Vivian in
"Oklahoma!" and acting as stage
manager for "The Dixie Swim
Club." She plans to return to
school at the University of
Louisiana at Lafayette for music
and/or theater then continue to
Seminary, in hopes of pursuing
music or drama ministry. She is
currently the head of the drama
team at her church, and she has
experience teaching and assisting
with various churches' children's
theater camps and musicals. She
would like to thank her parents
and her sister, Baillee, for being
so supportive, and notes that
without God she wouldn't be
where she is today--and this is a
great place to be!"
